As part of the third annual Gilbert’s Christmas Dream for Kids, Gilbert Arenas will welcome 80 children and teens from Good Shepherd Ministries, Friendship Edison, TuTTie's Place, Webber Home for Girls, Child & Family Services, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington and other great organizations that benefit underprivileged children, to MCI Center for the Wizards game against the Los Angeles Lakers on December 26. Each of Gilbert’s guests will be treated to a special pre-game shoot-around on the Wizards practice court, a lower level seat in a designated section of MCI Center to see the Wizards-Lakers game that evening, food vouchers and a greeting from Arenas with other surprises from the All-Star guard.
“I look forward to doing this every year,” said Arenas. “This is our third year and for me it’s always one of the best parts of the season. Kids are really special to me and I want them all to know that I’m thinking of them. I’m hoping to give these kids some opportunities that they otherwise might not get.”
