In September of 2005, Arenas purchased $18,000 worth of goods and delivered them to Hurricane Katrina victims sheltered at the DC Armory. Gilbert played in the NBA Players Hurricane Katrina Relief Game that took place at the Toyota Center in Houston to raise funds for the victims of the Hurricane.
